6 weeks later and I finally scrapped!

Hello Everyone!!!!

I woke up this morning dreaming of scrapbooking. I set aside an hour or so of "me" time so I could do some scrapbooking. I have to say it felt so good to cut paper, print pictures, find embellishments. As I mentioned my last layout was 6 weeks ago (maybe even longer.)

I give you.... (and surprise surprise I didn't even use a scrapbook kit, just odds and ends I put together. If you know me...this never happens!)

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

I mixed a sheet of Basic Grey paper with October Afternoons-Road Map paper. Some Cosmo Cricket chipboard with Basic Grey chipboard. The alpha's are from October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket and I have no idea where the other ones are from. And I did something I never did before...I dropped splashes of silver Maya Road mist on my paper.

I just found out I have a box coming from My Little Shoebox this week. I'm so excited! Have you seen all of the new 6 lines? So cute! I'm so jealous of the girls that get to go to CHA, but with everything going on in the past month it was best for me to sit this one out. You better believe I will be at the next CHA in Chicago.

Tomorrow I'm heading to the Madison, WI zoo. I'm so excited and so are the kids.

Hope everyone is doing well, I missed you all and I want to thank you all for leaving such wonderful comments about my dad.

A week later...

It comes with a heavy heart that I have to post this...

Last Thursday my father passed away at age 58. A week later it still seems unreal. I have been so busy with funeral arrangements and a dinner at my house, I barely had time for myself.

The memorial  service was Tuesday and a dinner for 70 to follow at my house. I'm so happy with the way everything went. Everything was perfect.

It has been a month since I walked into my scrapbook room. I really want to get in there this weekend, hope I can find the time.

The Simple Life

ahhhh, the Simple Life.

Here's the 5th NEW line from My Little Shoebox. OMGosh look at the barns, sheep, tractors. I think I might have to get a whole extra set just for my 6 year old Kaden. He loves tractors, barns, pick-up trucks, fences. and look at that scalloped paper....can I just say AWESOME!!!!!

I want to start cutting the barn out right now....

I see a field trip to a farm in my future! I'm super excited to use this line!!!!!

Have you seen the NEW My Little Shoebox lines?

Have you seen the new My Little Shoebox lines? OMGosh, they are just the cutest!!! You'll notice a few changes to the lines...more patterns, a new scalloped square diecut, cardstock stickers, alphabets in mixed colors that coordinate with each of the lines, the font on the glazed alphabets has changed to a lower case, and STAMPS...yes I said stamps! How cool is that-to actually have stamps that match the papers.

Right now 4 lines have been revealed and I will update once the other 2 lines are shown...so stay tuned to my blog or the My Little Shoebox blog! I have seen many awesome sneaks on the MLS facebook page, you can find us here!
