Thank you...

I would like to personally thank My Little Shoebox for their generosity. They always make sure we have more than enough supplies to work with each month and not only that...they product swap with other companies.

Love my Tapes sent each of us 6 packages of awesome adhesive tape to use with our MLS projects. I really like that the adhesive end has a build in cap! Please check out their site and guess what...The My Little Shoebox ladies will be featured on the Love My Tape blog very soon! Pick some of the tape next time you have the chance, I'm sure you are going to love it!

My Little Shoebox also teamed up with Sakura! They generous shared their pens with the MLS Design Team. We got 2 (can you believe it!) 2 packages of Glaze Gelly Roll Pens.

still not done....

Next we have the generosity of Tattered Angels! They sent us 3 bottles of Glimmer Mist

Tattered Angels also gave us  Bingo Cards, Calling Cards and Mist Screens.

This Month MLS will be working with Punky Sprouts! They have these really cool mini albums (actually they are not mini at all, they are a huge 12 inch size!) Thank you to them as well!

Thank you to each company that teams up with My Little Shoebox! And thank you My Little Shoebox for making my layouts fun and cute with your creative paper patterns and themes. Don't forget My Little Shoebox is having a Design Team Call right now!

BlueMoon Monday!

It's time for a new kit at BlueMoon. This kit is a little different from the kits I have received in the past. It's definitely more manly in color and embellishments. There's some cool feathers, a "manly" looking alphabet, lots of cool papers from Graphic 45. A great blue and brown combo! This kit is perfect for that manly man in you life!

The first layout is called:

It seems like I mostly scrapbook my children, but my husband needs to have a page once in a while too! This hobby is about memories right!

you guessed it...poem time! I used the tiny type letters by Cosmo Cricket. Poems are a great way to fill up empty space.

The paper tape measure was cut out from the A Proper Gentleman Graphic 45 paper, they are lots of fun  elements like the story tickets included in the kit. I made little patches because I wanted to incorporate some plaid into the layout because it matched my husbands shirt.

Did you catch the hand-stitching? Bazzill has these really cool products called Bazzill in Stitch'z Floss and Needles. The thread colors are in blue's and browns. Absolutely a perfect compliment to this kit!

The K & Company letters are fun. I cut them out and after gluing them down I felt they needed just a little bit of extra omph...so I applied a layer of Glossy Accents to the top of them, now they're shiny and have a little more dimension.

Here's a picture of the new kit, it just went up for sale yesterday! For more info on the kit, please visit the BlueMoon store!

***Don't forget about our birds and butterfly challenge this month! The BlueMoon Gallery is looking great!

Have a wonderful day!

PS. Don't be late or you'll miss out!

I would like to share my layouts since I showed you the peeks a few days ago...

This one is my favorite! Love the colors and the cool canvas banner pieces!

I had fun with the packaging from the Prima flowers, do you see the clear circle with the words on it. I backed them on a blue paper. They look very cool in person!

The cork board in the kit is really cool and easy to punch with paper punches.I'm not sure where Laura got the red clothes pins from, but I would like a dozen or them, they are fun!

Remember, get their early you don't want to miss out this miss-or you'll have to wait until fall to get your next A Kiss on the Chic kit!

A Kiss on the Chic Sneak Peeks....

The sneak are out for May's kits at A Kiss on the Chic! I had told Laura that this was probably my favorite kits from her. Love the colors, papers companies, embellishments. ( I worked with the kit that had Pink Pasilee 365 and Girls Paperie On Holiday Collection).

Thought I'd share a few sneaks of my layouts and the kits...yes I said kits (there are 2 this month). Remember to stock up because this May kit is going to it for a while. Laura will be away for the summer, so you will all have to wait until next fall for more!). The kits will reveal this Sunday, April 25 at 7 PST!

ok ready... Love, love, love the canvas banners in the kit. I used some Maya Road mist to color them. The colors of the paper rock!

For the bubbles, I actually used some packaging, cut it into circles and stitched around them.

Yes, that is corkboard you see. It cuts like butta' with paperpunches! Lots of fun texture in the kit with the tape measure ribbon, corkboard and jute string.

and now for sneaks of the upcoming kits.....

Here's the one I got!

and this is #2...Very beautiful and pretty!

My guess is this will go fast so ....remember this Sunday, April 25 at 7 PST! Don't be late!

Creative Imaginations *Showered with Love*/contest

A few days ago I gave you some details on the National Scrapbooking day contest at Creative Imaginations. You can view this post or the Creative Imaginations blog to see the sketch and info.

I used the "Showers" theme and used it in a different way than April Showers or Baby Shower. I used as being Showered with Love. I had the perfect photo to go with the beautiful soft paper collection from Christine Adolph, Mon Ami Line. I used the Felicity chipboard and painted it with Twinkling H2O's. Luminarte is a new company Creative Imaginations is carrying...more info to come on the paints, ink dabbers and spray inks soon!

Now, it time for you to join us for the challenge, go ahead grab your Creative Imagination supplies and create! When you are finished, post in the CI gallery.

April Challenge at BlueMoon!

Are you ready for our next challenge...it's time! BlueMoon Challenges are for YOU, this month the theme is Birds and Butterflies!

Here's the new challenge for you!

You're at the grocery store picking out your tomatoes and out of the corner of your eye you notice someone and do a double take.  Hey, that's Tim Holtz! So, you walk up and say hi and the conversation turns to his hot, new Alteration Dies ... and I don't know how this happened, but next thing I knew he's handing me a butterfly die - I about fainted...  do you think any of my friends will believe me- where is the camera when you need it!

The challenge is to to use
birds and/or butterflies in our layout, card....
The Winner can choose : A Tim Holtz Butterfly Die (which by the way makes a butterfly, dragonfly or a bee) and $10.00 to BlueMoon OR $30.00 to BlueMoon- in case you are crazy enough not to have a die-cutting machine- LOL.

This Challenge ends May 22nd.
Here's my take on the challenge...Birds, Butterflies  (and I added bee's)

The Beauty diecut is from My Minds Eye (at a great price I have to add!) I outlined the diecut in teal stickles to make the teal in my layout flow throughout the page.

You'll see bee's, dragonflies, birds, and butterflies throughout the layout, The stickers are from K & Company, Tim Coffey Blossomwood Butterfly Grand Adhesions. These are one of my favorite stickers because they are tripled layered with a glittery transparency over the top.

One of my favorite items just released are the Maya Road Dangling Chandelier beads. This box is full of them, you get 70 beads and a couple different sizes! They have predrilled holes in them, to make hanging them easy! I attached mine with coordinating brads.

I also used the dangling beads under my journaling.

The Prima Birds are beautiful, perfect match to the Prima paper. The birds come outlined in a gold and silver finish, but again I wanted the teal cover to flow throughout the page, once again stickles to the rescue!

I can't wait to see your creations. We really enjoy looking through your entries each month in the BlueMoon Gallery. Keep on posting, everyone is welcome to join in on the fun!

Just a quick reminder to sign up for the giveaway this week, it's a beauty! It's a huge package of
American Crafts Botanique and American Crafts Letterbox. Visit the BlueMoon Blog for details on the giveaway.

Have a wonderful day!

Sweet Love for BlueMoon Monday!

It's week 2 of creating with my Mirabella kit from BlueMoon Scrapbooking! On this layout, I
leaned towards the reverse side of the papers to give you an idea of how versatile this kit can be. They come in really beautiful soft shades of green, yellow, peach, and pink. American Crafts did a wonderful job with this lines. The embellishments are perfect! I did notice some of the brand new embellishments from CHA are on sale, click here to view them!

how about some close-ups...

This is a picture of the Dear Lizzy fabric paper, it's included in the Mirabella kit as well. I cute the flowers out, wrinkled them up by placing them in my hand and smoshing them. I scraped my scissors along the edge to give them a worn tattered look.

and the other flower

love the texture!

Lots of layers and hand-cut pieces to embellish my baby girl's picture. Isn't it crazy how fast babies grow? This is the same girl that was on my layout last week, only 8-9 years later. I'm so glad I have the opportunity to scrap these moments and save them.

a poem I found online...

For a softer look, I hand stitched on the layout. I stitched the title, butterfly flutter's, and the x's on the canvas diecut. The diecut piece is from Little Yellow Bicycle it's a 12 inch canvas piece.

I know you are wanting to see the kit...just look at this baby! To purchase, please visit BlueMoon Scrapbooking and guess what... if you purchase $50 or more you get free shipping.

Just think, you could take the money that would go towards shipping and buy something for yourself like perhaps....some of my new favorites...the 3 new lines from Pink Paislee or the beautiful Webster's Page Bloomers Trim. Really, I just order these items for myself. I have the Pink Paislee swirls and frames, you wouldn't believe how cool the Artisan Elements are. I'm gonna need 2 of each packages.

Have a great week! To finish up the kit I plan on sharing a mini album. But first it's challenge time once again! We'll share the details on the next challenge soon. But as a reminder to you...our challenge this month is a cutting challenge and it's coming to an end very soon. Visit us on the blog to read the details on the Master Cutter Challenge and please enter you layout. It's a $40 prize to shop at the BlueMoon store. I'd be happy to help you shop :)

Have a wonderful day!
