We Challenge You!

It's time for you play along with us at BlueMoon Scrapbooking! We have a challenge this month. Lisa posted the challenge on the BlueMoon Blog and it reads like this:

This is a Vintage Challenge - Remember the good old times when things were simple and neighbors and relatives all had doilies. The mothers and grandmothers gathering with the smell of small fine pastries, percolating coffee and crème filled the air. Make a layout using an old photo and a doily.

The winner will receive a $40.00 BlueMoon shopping certificate! Wow, can you image all the new CHA goodies you can get!!!!

This is my take using the Basic Grey Doily Paper and the "good old times theme!"

This is my great-grandma and myself. I must have been around 4 or so.

I made a couple coordinating flowers using the Basic Grey pattern papers.

Check out the cool metal spoon. It was in my January Flirtatious kit! Perfect embellishment for my tea page.

more simple flowers, also showing of I weaved some ribbon in and out of the doily paper. Very easy technique and finishes off the page.

ok...Remember this challenge is for you too! Dig out the supplies and post it!

Have a great day!

Art journaling is all the rage..

Remember my art journal...I have been working on my graffiti art journal from Dina's class for the last couple off months on and off.

If you remember this was a piece from lesson 1 & 2... Here is the original post to read more on it.

Moving on through the lessons, we started collaging. Loved this super fun technique. I used things (paper, transparencies, fabric, etc.) I had which matched my orange, blue, green and purple color scheme.

and then we cut shapes out, I went with stars...

lots of stars...

these are some inside mini's or add-ons

Today I'm going to put the signatures together and start forming my pages and work on book binding. I'll share more with you later.

Monday's at BlueMoon...is where I am!

Today's week 2 of the Blue Moon Flirtatious kit already! I would like to invite all my blog readers to visit the BlueMoon DT blog each day! There's a ton of creativity being posted each and everyday, a different unique style each day. And don't forget about the BlueMoon Gallery!

This Monday, I would like to share this layout titled "Feel Beautiful." I got the idea from the Graphic 45 papers, from the the lady standing on the pillar. To me I get the feeling she wants to feel beautiful in her shoes. I used pictures of my daughter, Khila, and her new shoe's. I wanted to leave the message to feel beautiful!

Here's a couple close-ups. This one is showing the layers and a bit of journaling.

A pretty lace flower I made using the Webster's page lace, blue glimmer mist, a brad and a 7Gypsies dangle. Making embellishments is a fun way to make your own unique embellishments!
Thank you for stopping by today and I would like to leave you with is message:

Feel Beautiful in your shoes and be unique!

A Creative Imaginations layout!

I recently came across a blog post saying that Creative Imagination was having a contest, you can you read about it here. I decided to submit my entry.

I have to put in a small disclaimer here. I only had 4 pieces of Creative Imaginations paper and a few rub-ons. I always use up the CI stuff right away therefore leaving me very little in my stash to work with.

Would you, could you PLEASE...go to the CI gallery and leave me a comment...PRETTY PLEASE!!! Here's a link!!!!

I just want to show a few details of my layout, lots of pretty glimmer mist and glitter!

You, know me...layout has to be full of texture!

I painted glimmer mist and shimmerz on the doily paper and inked the edges. See the lace...It was pink, I soaked it in glimmer mist to get the color I need to match my layout.

and this was sketch I used:

Thanks for helping me out and leaving a comment!
