Have a great evening!
I just wanted to post a few peeks of my layouts. I hope post some full layouts soon, so check back in a few days.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Also, cause you are here, I'm gonna give you a heads up a big kit give-away this weekend. But, I'll reveal it tomorrow so you can enter--so check back!
You have to check out these kits-they are so AMAZING! I feel they are a perfect fit for me!I have one (new, never seen before) kit in route to me as I write this, really hoping it gets dropped off tomorrow so I can get right in there and play! Just wait until you see this kit…awesome, actually wanna see it? Click here! They want to do 2-4 kits a month-these are limited addition kits! Love that!My challenge to you this week is adding texture to your pages…
There are so many possible ways, I’ll share a few examples from my pages this month:
On this page I added some burlap to bring texture into my pumpkin patch page. Notice the pumpkins, I could have used plain orange paper but the paper included with the September kit has the perfect amount of texture on it to really make the pumpkins pop.

Adding a bit of “wood” as the stems adds another level of texture. I used the Popsicle stick included in the run-on package, cut them in half and inked them for stems.
If you’ll notice the edges of the paper I used 3 colors of brown distress ink to really give the page a finished worn look.
Stitching is another way to bring the texture. Very simple, yet goes along way. I usually keep the brown thread readily available in my sewing machine so I can just go to town on any given page.
Layering paper is a good way to add texture. Don’t think you’ll be using all your paper up by doing this. Just use the ends and cut the middles out and glue or sew them together.
Try layering words over each other instead of a straight line as I did with “Fall Fun.” Using 2 different colors for the title brings in more interest as well.
On the page entitle “Care-free” I added lots of texture by “fancy” cutting the patterns out from the paper and curling up the edges with a pencil. I then added some Ranger, Liquid Pearls for added texture and shine.
Also by cutting apart the bling which is included in the kit, I could add it throughout the page in random areas.
Go ahead and make those pages pop with texture!! Please upload your layouts to the Challenge area in the gallery!
Melanie
Again, I want to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day and hope your enjoying the "end" of summer.
