A Kiss on the Chic peeks!

I wanted to share a couple peeks from the A Kiss on the Chic. There's a really fun, cool, must have project kit this month using the Chatterbox Denim albums. I have to say I LOVE them! I'm gonna share some quick peeks, I'll be back with details in a bit!

Sky's the Limit

I'm updating my work for My Little Shoebox. For September I worked with Sky's the Limit. Such cute stuff too!

Here's my work posted on the MLS blog: but I'll post it here too!

Here's a very simple card:
Layout using the circle paper and lots of glimmer mist and Maya Road mist. Also love the little handwriting on the stickers for journaling.

Adding a bit of paint over a busy background will help center the photos and give them room to "breathe" without the background being too busy.
more mist, cardboard (notice how the cardboard matches the house the kids are painting in the photo). Prefect paper and overlays for my pictures.

There's one more layout and it will be on the Pencil Lines blog very shortly. I will post it then along with the sketch.

I'm gonna start today because I have a busy weekend ahead of me as I get the kids ready for the start of the school year next week and won't be around much so here we go...Oh, and make sure you keep checking the blog at Scrap for a Cure cause the rest of the DT will have sneaks too this weekend.

I have to say this is my most favorite kit ever! I love the colors, the embellishments and the style of layouts I made from this kit.



I did add the burlap you'll see in my layouts. But, it's very cheap and should be available at your fabric store.





How's that for sneaks??? Kit will reveal on September 1. You're gonna want this one!

Wanna see some peeks of My Little Shoebox?

Scrapbook Sussies kit Guest Designer!!!!!

I was so lucky to be asked to be a guest designer for Scrapbook Sussies for the month of September. This is a view of the fun kit! I had told Lara, this was the first time I worked with a kit that had 2 separate "sides" meaning you get 2 totally separate kits in 1. Love that concept!

Guess I took more photos then I needed to. Opps! I just wanted to share them. Oh, did I mention the kits are under $30!?!?!?! What a deal! Sure seems to be alot more than $30 in the kit.

Scrap for a Cure Review

Are you wondering where I am?

I know some of you are by the emails but alas, I'm here. I took some time off from scrapbooking for a couple weeks.

Let's see...where have I been?!?!?

I started a new job (yeah!!!!), but there's certainly a transition of time and hours, balancing left- over time with family activities and trying to keep the laundry pile low. We spent Friday at a indoor waterpark and had a blast (Can you imagine an indoor in August, but WI is pretty cool this year. The temp that day was 67!) We (as in my DH and I) even had a chance to watch a movie at the theater (which never happens!) We watched the The Ugly Truth. Funny movie! I'd watch it again.

I was able to pick up school supplies on Saturday, I feel a bit caught up in that department. With 3 lists this year, I was feeling pretty overwhelmed. Next week school clothes and shoe shopping is on my agenda. I even have to find football shoes, yep, my oldest is going to be playing tackle football. Keep you fingers crossed he don't get squashed!!!

I'll be settling down in my scrapbook room today I have a ton of projects to work on...some include My Little Shoebox, a blog challenge for Pencil Lines and I was asked to go be a guest designer for Scrapbook Sussies Scrapbook kits. I get to tear open that box today-kinda like Christmas, I have no idea what is in it yet.

A Kiss on the Chic, will be back in full gear for a September kit, I can't wait! I suspect we'll be seeing something in the school theme this September and you know how Laura puts kits together, nothing short of unique! Plus with all the new products coming out this fall, I can only imagine it is gonna be awesome!

At Scrap for a Cure we just finished up with the August kits, they are available and will be shipping very soon! We also have challenges and idea's on the blog. This month we also did something new by following a sketch, info on that is one post below this one.
