A Kiss on the Chic DT Work!

This month I had the pleasure of working with the Home kit from A Kiss on the Chic. Featuring My Little Shoebox papers and overlays. I think this is my favorite thing I have ever made! I love it and so does my daughter, Khila! My boys even asked if I could make them a sports one for their room. Looks like I have my work cut out for me. (actually I can't wait, I love altering and am looking forward to the challenge!)

These kits are very colorful, as you know My Little Shoebox is full of color and fun to work with. That being said, I looked at the papers and knew exactly what I wanted to make...

Second Peek for Scrap for a Cure

How about 2 sneaks? They belong to the same layout and I won't tell I just broke the rules of only posting one peek.

I printed 2 wallet size in black and white and used my yellow marker to color in the flowers to make them a focal point. I know I could have edited them on the computer...but I'm not into digital stuff and this was quick!


and you know you can always expect a little distressing on anything I do...

It's my favorite time of the month! Almost better than Christmas. It's time for the A Kiss of the Chic sneak peeks!

I had to do a double take when I seen these. I love My Little Scrapbook products and these kits are full of them.

just in case...

...you are wondering where I am, I'm here. I have a very busy week. Although, not to much in the crafting department-just life!

I have 2 kits in transit to me as I type this. I can't wait to make some layouts. Depending on the mail I should have both kits by the weekend and will be posting peeks and kit previews as I get them.

I'm working on a really cool interactive project for a child, I have a feeling this one will take me awhile to finish. I have a vision in my head and little by little I'm creating it. It's going to take some time but it's going to be worth it! Think trains, animals, Cosmo Cricket, mini books, puffy paper animals hand stitched among much much more. Sounds cool uh?!?!

I have to give my brother Mike, a huge shout out of congratulations! He now works for Brown County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy. This would be the city of Green Bay, WI. Home of the Green Bay Packers football team. A very proud day to watch him get sworn in and accept his awards.

Since we were out of town. I stopped at Archiver's and stocked piled up on Kaiser Craft wooden books and projects. I love altering those items.

That's about all my excitement this past week, stay tuned for next week, it's going to be a busy one!

Teaching!

I did it!

...and successfully I might add! All the ladies walk away with a finished project and they LOVED them!

The crop was a blast. Lisa did an amazing job of preplanning everything from the prizes, food, sponsors, among all the little details. I wish I would have taken photos of the table in the main crop area. They were setup very cute embellished with handmade flowers, candy, sprinkled with flower rhinestones. Oh, and chocolate!

Most of these photos are from my class. I split the group in to 3 classes through the day. With all the new techniques the ladies learned it's easier to give individual attention to each person.

Saturday Lisa Falduto is hosting a crop. I have been asked to teach a make n' take sponsored by A Kiss on the Chic kit club. I'm so excited!!! I spent the day painting the wooden pieces, cutting wire and ribbon and sorting into piles for each person. I love doing this type of work. I really think this is my calling. I would love to design kits and package them.

I have to give a huge shout out to this lady, Kim Hesson. She mailed me the wood for the kits. You know what they say about presentation. She NAILED it!!!!! The butterflies and banners were all tied together very neatly in PINK string and packaged in clear wrap. But look at this:

She very generously donated a gift to each participant at the crop. If you know me, I love anything vintage! Just look at that sheet music and lace. I can't wait to use the bird and beads. I'd just be happy carrying it around all day and looking at it, it makes me happy! Stop by Kim's blog and etsy shop and take a peek!

oh, oh, oh, I have to bring you up to date on the bird. Ok, remember the bird a couple posts below. Ok, 4 days later we found a home for the bird. It wasn't the actual owner but he had a pigeon farm. He came here, we talked a bit. He mentioned the bird was skinny and had been wounded at one time. Took the bird home with him. So the bird was gone...until Today!

You guessed right...I went to let Zoey (our dog) outside in her caged pen and they sitting in her pen was Homer (the pigeon.) Amazing isn't it!?!?!?

I guess he can stay for a while. Perhaps he likes us, he stills follows up around outside. I fed him food and water today. As long as he keeps himself off my deck he can stay--for now!
