Finally the day has come! The April Scrap for a Cure kit is revealed. There are 2 kits this month. Take a peek here: SFAC Also this month Kelly Goree is the guest designer, I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what she has created!

I have to show you 1 more...

I have to share one more layout from A Kiss on the Chic! Since I had the baby kit, I wanted to make a layout that looked vintage. Even though this photo is only 5 years old it don't look it. First I printed it in a sepia tone, sanded the edges and inked them for an aged appearance. All the embellishments are in the Baby Boy kit from the April A Kiss on the Chic kit, which will reveal tomorrow (April 1) at 8:00 AM PST. I really went all out and distress the all the papers using ink and the wrinkle effect on them.

How about another A Kiss on the Chic layout????

Here's a quick little project I made from my scraps left over from the A Kiss on the Chic kit. Plus, it was a perfect way to showcase the beautiful frame in the kit! It was one of my favorite pieces made by Melissa Frances, plus those cute little ticket stubs in the kit work perfect in a little minibook.

Perfect gift to make for a grandmother that wants to show off her grandson.

This is my third child, Kaden (5 years ago). I miss those days. Now he's in school telling me he has a girlfriend but they are not married yet. YIKES!

Lots of layering and distressing going on here. To make the alpha's match I sanded them a bit and inked the edges.

The flower I used glimmer mist on lace and and a thread and needle to make a flower, used some of the Prima lace and again a needle and thread, popped a brad and made this one of a kind flower. (unless of course you make one, then we'll have matching flowers!)

I have never blogged so much in one weekend ever.

I thought before the weekend needed and I'm a scrapping frenzy I would share 1 layouts I made with the April A Kiss on the Chic Baby Boy kit. Ok, so technically this layout is not of a 'baby' but I loved the colors and the paper matched his shirt exactly! There is much more you can do with a kit if you scrap by colors and not theme. But, don't worry the rest of my stuff has baby pictures on them.

Lots of layering here. I hand cut the tree and used glossy accents on the polka dot paper for some added texture.

Second Scrap for a Cure peek...

Today is Scrap for a Cure's second day of the blog hopping party and this little picture of bunnies hopped right over!

This is the grundgeboard from the April kit. I added a little bit of fluff for the cute little tails (I recycled the fluff from some old stuffed animals). To get the perfect color for the bows to match my alpha's I used finger nail polish! The color was perfect and it leaves a nice shine.

I was given the baby boy kit for my DT kit. But, after a recent development today-the teen boy kit is one it's way to my house in need of creating! Woo hoo! I can't wait to play with the grunge kit!

The 2 new DT girls will also be starting this month. So many good things going on this April. Plus the class I'll be teaching using Laura's kit she'll put together for the crop. I'm just excited!

Best week ever!

After sending in my submission and waiting a few weeks I just got the news.......A Kiss on the Chic as invited me to come back and design for another term! In addition to this wonderful news, I'm really excited about Laura's new design team. She choose 2 new girls, of whom are amazing scrapbook artists. Along with talented Deb and Norma! All the girls blogs are on my sidebar, please check them out.

Laura has mentioned on her blog that I will be "teaching" at a crop this April. My friend, Lisa Falduto will be hosting the crop. I'll be working on a make n' take project sponsored by A Kiss on the Chic, I'm very excited to help out!

You probably noticed I redid my blog...again! I love it!!! It's so pretty. I found the blog gear at the House of 3. Make sure you check out all the cute stuff! I'm not a digital person and if I can redo my blog, anyone can!

I just wanted to mention I'm having the BEST WEEK EVER!!!!!! Who would have known I have would have come this far. I excepted 2 design teams positions this week, I won 2 packages of scrapbook goodies (one is full of all the new Graphic 45 products). Woo hoo!

Also, today I just received my very first Scrap for a Cure kit and it rocks! Tons of possibilities in one box. You can go in so many directions and every single page it going to look different. Did I mention there is Tim Holtz products in it?!?!?!?!

A little creating today!

Another Sunday at home...

I had an acrylic mini album and decided to take it apart, repunch some of the hole and make it into a wall hanging. I masked off the middle and used paint and distress ink on the outer edge. I kept it pretty simple so you would be able to see through it and added a bit of grunge board and rub-ons.

My goal...

First off don't laugh or judge me but... I have decided this is the year for me! I mean to (try) exercise. Sure I use the elliptical now and then during the winter. During the summer months I walk with a friend 3 miles, 4 times a week. I feel I can do better. I'm going to run!!!! It's not like I'm training for a 5K or anything but just a like jog now and then. Actually I'm just jogging along my 5 year old while he rides he's bike. (it's looks better when people are looking at me. See this way it looks like I'm trying to keep up with him.)--see another good plan.

But, really I do have an actual plan. This is my plan: Couch to 5K I don't know if I'll ever get past week 2 and if I'm stuck on week 2 all summer-that's fine by me. It means I got past week 1. I'm on day 2 and it's 2 days better I did before.

Let just hope my legs keep up!

Lazy Sunday!

We don't get many Sunday's were there is no agenda. I took advantage it today! It's finally warming up outside-well that is, if you consider 45 warming up. We do though! The kids are enjoying time outside, Scott's changing oil in the cars and as for me I'm I'm enjoying the quite time to play with some of the Tim Holtz products I purchased last weekend (in addition to what I had already). I'm using the tiny ATC cards just to get the basic techniques down. Plus I have 100's of them, 650 to be exact!!!

On the 1st and 3rd card I did a technique using heat embossing, distress inks and taking an iron over it to remove the embossed finish and get a "resistance" look to it. After ironing you get a smooth to the touch finish.

The middle one is something similar Tim Holtz did on one of his technique tutorials. I wanted to try the crackle paint. Very fun stuff!

I'm going to play with the alcohol inks now!!!!

It's just fun to get out those supplies and not have particular project and learn new techniques.

A little shopping today

As many of you know I love Tim Holtz products. I already own a bunch but, you can imagine my surprise when I seen the display up at Michael's craft store today. Yippy! I don't have a LSS anywhere closer than 1.5 hours away so this is great news for me.

I also had a 20% coupon for entire purchase so I just had to shop! I have always wanted to try these alcohol inks so I purchased 1 set to play around with.

I love all the metal embellish so I picked up 2 for now. Love the new stamps sets. I'll be getting more of these but just 1 pack today!

Oh, and this lonely boarder punch. I love boarder punches and I have heard some rave reviews this morning so since it was on sale....need I say more!!???!?!?!

I also picked up a couple other items for my art journaling.

The kids are coming in from the snow so I have to make them some hot cocoa and maybe a cup for myself.
